Read this page carefully. It explains the limits of what Electrical1 can and cannot do, and what you should do when an audit flags a hazard.
We are not a registered electrician service
Electrical1 is software. It does not employ Part P or 18th Edition qualified electricians as part of its audit pipeline. We do not visit your property. We do not test continuity, insulation resistance, earth fault loop impedance, or RCD operating times. Anything that requires physical testing or live measurement must be done by a person registered with NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA, or a comparable body.
We do not issue or replace EICRs
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a regulated document. From 1 October 2026, every individual carrying out EICRs in the UK must hold a Level 3 qualification in periodic inspection and testing plus at least two years of documented experience. Electrical1 outputs are not EICRs, will not be accepted as EICRs by letting authorities or insurers, and must not be presented as such.
Savings estimates are informational, not financial advice
The bill calculator, heat map, and forecast charts are estimates based on public average residential tariffs and typical appliance efficiency. Actual savings depend on your tariff, appliance age, household routine, weather, and choices you make after the audit. We make no guarantee that any specific monetary saving will be achieved.
Nothing in Electrical1 constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, insurance, or regulated energy-supply advice. Electrical1 is software, not an adviser. If you need advice, consult an appropriately qualified, regulated professional (independent financial adviser, chartered accountant, solicitor, or — for energy supply — an Ofgem-licensed supplier or Citizens Advice).
If we flag a high-risk hazard
- Do not ignore the warning.
- Isolate the affected circuit at the consumer unit if it is safe to do so.
- Do not attempt to open the consumer unit cover or replace components yourself.
- Contact a registered electrician within 24 hours. Bring the audit output as supporting context.
- If you smell burning, see arcing, or hear sparking, leave the building and call the emergency services / your distribution network operator.
What our outputs are good for
- Understanding which rooms or appliances are likely waste drivers.
- Prioritising which retrofit projects to discuss with a contractor.
- Spotting visible warning signs (scorching, missing labels, ancient breakers) that warrant a professional inspection.
- Tracking month-over-month changes in your bill against a forecast.
What our outputs are not good for
- Insurance claims, court evidence, or government rebate applications.
- Letting compliance, HMO licensing, or property sale conveyancing.
- Sign-off of any work performed by a contractor.
- DIY work on consumer units, ring mains, or fixed wiring.
Liability
ELECTRICAL ONE LTD accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from action taken solely on the basis of an Electrical1 output. Always confirm safety-critical findings with a registered electrician.
